*looks towards the date the flash was submitted* Haha, epic
But anyway, the controls were extremely deep. I mean I had to press space to get that potion and tap space to pull out that sword. I even along the way pressed space to throw the beat down on those monsters
I was close to dying at points, but then I pressed space and everything was alright again.
Protip: Press space, for some reason it seems to work
Wow, I can't believe I got so engrossed into this. It's a great tower defence game that I could possibly play for a lot longer then I just have
I think I got to level 43 then got completely overwhelmed by the bloons....they were never ending and got though all my cunningly placed traps :(
Graphics wise, it's alright too, but the replayibilty value is really, really high.
Guess I'm just a sucker for these types of games XD
Good First Game
For your first game, this is actually quite good. I liked how you made it so whenever you go onto the sand with your bike you actually slow down, which makes it a bit more difficult
In future though, I would recommend actually posting controls. Some people might not assume that the arrow keys actually control the bike. Other then that though, I liked it, plain and simple with a clear goal, to finish the race :)
Could be improved
The concept for this type of game has been done before (If anyone remembers that arcade game involving the sniper, you'll know what i'm on about) and, to be honest, I never did like it (Probably because of that sniper.....I don't want realism :P).
This game, even though it's a short demo of sorts, is already better then it. However, I would like to say about adding a time limit. I noticed you added a time limit to one of the levels (10 seconds I believe) and that put me under a bit more pressure to find the unhappy guy. If you did that with all of the levels, I'd be voting a little higher.
The graphics are OK for a demo, because I wouldn't have expected full blown emotions and facial features from a novice to flash (better then me though, I'm a newbie :P). However, in future versions of this, try and make the unhappy guy move though the crowd, as well as them moving. That way, you'll make the game harder and, when coupled with a time limit, will make the game enjoyable
Oh, and on the subject of music, have a look around the audio portal, have a listen to some of the songs in there and decide which you like best. Make sure if you do use music from there that you do actually credit them though.
well I had a look and there was nothing I liked. The time limit was a one off but I did plan on making more levels. I did think about having the people moving but just never got round to it. Plus I've taken on like u hundred projects ATM
Thanks for the reply tho
I would like to thank you, this flash has brought a lot of good memorys back
now, i want to play the origial sonic the hedgehog again...
